Certification in Political Analysis or Public Policy
To become Certified in Political Science or Political Legal Analysis, you must have an accredited degree in politics with at least 18 hours of Political Science and qualifying Legal courses within an accredited Masters or Doctorate Program.
CPS Certified Political Scientist – Board Certified in Politics
CPM Certified Political Manager – Campaign Manager & Analyst
CPP Certified in Public Policy – Policy Analyst
ChPA Chartered Certified Political Analyst – Political Governmental Journalism Certification
Degree Education: passing all political science courses with a 2.5 or higher GPA.
Experience: 2 Year of Political, Governmental, or Public Service.
Accredited Degree from an accredited or governmental recognized program.
Ethics – agree to the ethics requirements of the Society.
Masters in Politics, PhDs or JD (Doctor of Jurisprudence) with 5 or more years in government service related fields.

* You must have a relevant degree in the subject at hand to be certified in a specialty. For instance, if you write for sports or business, you need a graduate or undergraduate business degree and not a simply a journalism or writing degree.
